Fortnite, the massively popular video game, is set to host another virtual concert featuring The Kid Laroi. The immersive, interactive musical experience will take place on a dedicated Creative island specifically built for the event, and is set to kick off on January 27th at 6 PM ET. This event will be different from previous virtual concerts featuring artists such as Travis Scott and Ariana Grande, which took over the Fortnite battle royale island for a large-scale spectacle. Instead, The Kid Laroi event will explore the singer’s journey from humble beginnings to headlining sold-out performances as a worldwide superstar.
The virtual concert will include the debut of a new song called “Love Again,” and fans will also have the opportunity to purchase a Laroi character skin and other in-game items. This event will be available in Fortnite from January 27th through April 27th.
Fortnite is no stranger to hosting virtual concerts, with the first being the Marshmello event in 2019. However, since then, virtual concerts in the game have slowed down significantly. Last year, the biggest event was the K-pop superstars Blackpink who dropped into PUBG Mobile.
With The Kid Laroi’s concert, Fortnite is once again taking the lead in the virtual concert scene and providing fans with an immersive and interactive musical experience. The use of a dedicated Creative island for the event will give players a more intimate experience and allow for a deeper exploration of the artist’s journey. This is sure to be a hit with fans of The Kid Laroi and Fortnite players alike.
